Elizabeth "Tinkey" Minish Fisher

January 1, 1925 — September 28, 2022

Mrs. Elizabeth Minish “Tinkey” Fisher, age 97, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Yadkin Nursing Center.  Mrs. Fisher was born January 1, 1925 in Yadkin County to R.C. and Rosa E. Thompson Minish.

Tinkey retired from Belk department stores and was a lifelong member of Jonesville United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir and a Sunday school teacher for many years.  She also served as president of the United Methodist Women, Feed the Elderly and was a past Girl Scout leader of the Jonesville Troop.  In her later years, Tinkey attended Maple Springs United Methodist Church until her health would no longer allow.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lewis Fisher; son, Paul Timothy Fisher; grandson, Dalton Bauguess; sisters, Iris Canipe, Frances Hoffman, Rosalie Katz, Camilla Pardue; and brother, Russell Minish.

Survivors include, her daughter, June Osborne and her husband Tommy of Elkin; daughter-in-law, Diane Fisher; five grandchildren, Chris Osborne and his fiancée Joy Hinson, Donna Brooks and her husband Eric, Tara Bauguess and her husband Tommy, Josh Fisher and his wife Mari, Kari Swift; eight great-grandchildren, Summer Doss and her husband Cody, Ben Osborne and Hadly Tucker, Chloe Osborne, Hayden Brooks and his wife Faith, Cody Bauguess, Chase Bauguess, Alex Fisher, Eli Fisher; three great-great grandchildren, Avery Doss, Archer Doss and Axton Doss.

A funeral service will be conducted Monday, October 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Joe Fulk and Chaplain Michael Rumple officiating.  Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to Maple Springs United Methodist Church 15733 Elkin Hwy #268, Ronda, NC 28670.
