Emelene Corder Everidge

Mrs. Emelene Corder Everidge, age 85, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2022 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mrs. Everidge was born June 26, 1937 in Surry County to Kermit and Bernice McCoin Corder.

Mrs. Everidge was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and retired from Yadkin Valley Home Health. She was an avid reader and a devoted mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, Allen Everidge; daughter, Becky Beasley; son-in-law, Kenneth East and sister, Joyce Pardue.

Survivors include: her son, Richard Everidge and his wife Sharon of Wilkesboro, daughter; Phoebe Adams her husband Darold of State Road, Henrietta Mathis and her husband Otis of Boonville, Mahalia East of Boonville, sister; Sally Jo Wyatt of Elkin; son-in-law, Roger Beasley of Lexington, grandchildren; Zachariah Adams and his wife Kayla, Jessica Cliffton, Rosmond O’Berry and her husband Travis, Adam East and his wife Jessica, Jared East and his wife Melissa, Anna Byrd and her husband Cory, Jermiah Beasley and his wife Amy, Mandy Soto, Sheri Spicer and her husband Chris, Lindsey Wood and her husband Chase, Brittany Anderson and her husband Chris, Colby Everidge; 24 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Jermiah Beasley and Rev. Jerry Fugate officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
