Eva Lee Harris

Mrs. Eva Lee Harris, age 81, of Thurmond, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at her residence.

Eva was born April 25, 1943 in Wilkes County to Raymond and Lona Mae Anderson Dimmette.  Eva was an active member of Central Full Gospel Church where she taught the children’s Sunday school class and served as the custodian for many years.  She retired from  Dobson KinderCare where she served for many years as Director and later as cook and kitchen coordinator.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Billy Harris, and her daughter, Lynn Branch, and brother, Jamie Dimmette.

Survivors include; her daughter, Lisa Harris and Keith Davis of Lexington, brother, Ray Dimmette and wife RoseAnn of Jonesville, sister, Irene Wilson of Granite Falls, grandchildren, Lane Branch and Sage Garr, Leah Arnder and husband Blake, great grandchildren, Kipp Branch and Klint Branch, several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Central Full Gospel Church Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Norman officiating.
