Frances Darnell Wall

Mrs. Frances Darnell Sprinkle Wall, age 98, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mrs. Wall was born January 11, 1923 in Wilkes County to Clarence and Dossie Couch Darnell. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and retired from Chatham Manufacturing with 39 years of service.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death husbands, Vernon Martin, Robert Sprinkle and Claude Wall; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leo Darnell (Velma), Herman Darnell (Mamie) and Gray Darnell and sister and brother-in-law, Estelle Hicks (Wilbur).

Survivors include: daughter, Nancy Sprinkle Gentry and her husband Johnny of Mountain Park; grandson, Rob Gentry and his wife Toni; great grandchildren, Blake Gentry and his wife Emily and Gabriella Gentry; sister-in-law, Doris Darnell; special friends, Melissa Gravely and Coleen Collins, and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Mr. Rob Gentry officiating. Mrs. Wall will lie-in-state at Elkin Funeral Service Monday, May 3, 2021 from 11:00a.m. -5:00 p.m.
