Garry Dean Lineberry Sr.

Garry Dean Lineberry Sr., age 72 of Jonesville, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.

Garry was born in Wilkes County on January 28, 1952, to James Lineberry and Jessie Harold Lineberry. Garry proudly served his country in the United States Army for 20 years and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a faithful member of Daysprings Baptist Chapel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Garry Lineberry Jr.; three brothers, Tony Lineberry, Paul Lineberry, Jimmy Lineberry; grandson, Bryant Howard.

Survivors include his sons, Dean Todd Lineberry and wife Courtney, James Dean Lineberry and wife Natalie; Daughters, Deanna Cunningham and husband Alan, Kathryn Johnson and husband Mike; sisters, Wanda Pruitt, Rosemary Smoot and husband Teddy; one grandchild, Jackie Cunningham, and five great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Welcome Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Crouse from Daysprings Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow at Welcome Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the U.S Army Honor Guard.
