Gary Harris

Mr. Gary Harris, age 66, of Yadkinville passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Gary was born July 7, 1955 in Yadkin County to Charles Norman Harris and Shirley Wagoner Harris.

Gary attended Wake Forest University and retired from UNIFI in research and development. He was well versed in music, aviation history, sports, and life in general and was a brilliant conversationalist. Gary was active with his son in Sertoma football and hunting for arrowheads and was a past RA leader. He was a loving grandfather to his granddaughters, Poppy and Rayn and was a true gentleman and was respected by all who knew him.

Gary preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 46 years, Robinn C. Harris of the home; son Ian Harris and his wife Ashley of Terra Haute, IN; brother, Ronnie; sisters, Christy and Norma; grandchildren, Poppy Harris and Rayn Harris.

A private memorial service was held at First Baptist Church of Jonesville

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Jonesville, 134 Winston Rd., Jonesville, NC 28642.
