Gary Truman Wagoner

Mr. Gary Truman Wagoner, age 74, of Roaring River passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Wagoner was born January 1, 1946 in Surry County to Noah Gordon and Nancy Ann Absher Wagoner.

Mr. Wagoner was a member of Billings Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and retired from Vaughn-Bassett Furniture. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kevin Ray Caudill; great-granddaughter, Maria Luna Orozco; eight brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 55 years, Barbara M. Wagoner of the home; son, Alan Wagoner and wife Barbara; daughter, Diane Wagoner Caudill and husband Chris; sisters, Linda Bauguess, Hilda Bauguess; grandchildren, Terry Wagoner and Wife Samantha, Crystal Roberts and husband Richard, Misty Moore and husband John, Daniel Caudill and wife Sarah, Ashley Caudill Orozco and husband Oscar; great-grandchildren, Alan Wagoner, Austin Wagoner, Hayden Roberts, Jorden Roberts, Khloie Roberts, Gunner Moore, Leo Orozco, and Anna Sophia Orozco.

A funeral service will be conducted, Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Level Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Wood, Rev. Justin Wells, and Rev. Jeremy Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Wagoner will lie-in-state from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
