Gaynell Wilmoth Anderson

Mrs. Gaynell Wilmoth Anderson, age 67, of Elkin, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Gaynell was born February 14, 1957 in Surry County to Homer and Pauline Collins Wilmoth.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Anderson, two sons, Shawn Butcher and Toby Butcher, two brothers, Jack Wilmoth and Tom Wilmoth.

Survivors include a son, Travis Butcher of Thurmond, two daughters, Kimberly Brooks of Thurmond, Beverly Smith of Elkin, fourteen grandchildren, Derek, Leigh Anne, Gracie, Robby, Katie, Danny, Cody, Austin, Colby, John Blake, Jayden, Kinnley, Ryan and a special grandson, Dalton Hutchens, three great-grandchildren, Jay, Conner and Leia, two brothers, Rick Wilmoth and wife Lynn of Thurmond, Roger Wilmoth of Galax, VA.

A Celebration of Gaynell’s life will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 3:00 pm at Gid Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Caudill and Rev. Adam Collins officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.
