Gregory Alton "Greg" Wooten

Gregory Alton “Greg” Wooten, 61, of Elkin, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024, at his home after an extended illness.
Greg was born July 5, 1962, in Alleghany County to the late Don & Jolene Shaver Wooten.
He graduated from Alleghany High School. Greg operated Wooten Lawncare for 25 years. He enjoyed playing golf, collecting baseball cards, and spending time with his wife and family, including “the girls and the kids.”
He is survived by his wife, Erin McGee Wooten; “the girls” Meredith Styers (Cody) & Sarah Dinkins (Jeff Boulden); and “the kids” Wyatt, Jackson, Memphis & Bristol.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service.
