Gurney "Danny" Pardue

January 26, 1953 — February 4, 2022

Mr. Gurney  Daniel “Danny” Pardue, age 69, of Elkin, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.  Mr. Pardue was born January 26, 1953 in Iredell County to Gurney Thomas and Margaret Ruth Cheek Pardue.

Mr. Pardue was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Jean Smith.

Survivors include; The love of his life for 51 years, Kathy Pardue of the home, a son, Jerry “Roscoe” Pardue of Elkin, a daughter, Kim Tremain of Lexington, a brother, Steve Pardue and wife Karen of Oak Island, NC, and a grand puppy, Coop.

A funeral service will be held Monday, February 7, 2022 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. John Attaway and Rev. Dylan Cook officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the church.
