Harold Johnson

November 10, 1944 — March 2, 2021

Mr. Rex William “Harold” Johnson, age 76, of Elkin passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Johnson was born November 10, 1944 in Wilkes County to Jarvie and Mertle Mathis Johnson.

Mr. Johnson was a member of White Rock United Methodist Church and retired from American Drew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louella McCann Johnson; brother, Jay Johnson; sisters, Eloise Billings, Louise Prevette, Lorene Johnson, and Jean Byrd.

Survivors include: brothers, Dean Johnson of Wilkesboro, Archie Johnson of Hamptonville; sisters, Jereline Johnson of Elkin, Kathleen Jones of Dobson, Brenda Davidson of Dobson; special little buddy, Kaleb Couch; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 2:30 p.m. at Union Hill Cemetery with Dr. Richard Brinegar and Rev. William Adams officiating. Mr. Johnson will lie-in-state from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service prior to the service.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Ebenezer Christian Children’s Home, PO Box 2777, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
