Herman Grant Lyons

Mr. Herman Grant Lyons, age 85, of Traphill passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Lyons was born April 22, 1935 in Wilkes County to Lloyd Ervin and Hallie Virginia Brown Lyon.

Mr. Lyons attended The Church of the Wildwood and retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eliza Victoria Luffman Lyons and sister, Laura Bevalee Lyon.

Survivors include: son, Chris Lyons and wife Linda Ledford of Traphill; daughter, Jolene Lyons Johnson and husband Johnny of Traphill; brother, Billy Lyons and wife Shelby of Traphill, grandchildren, Melanie Johnson-Wagoner and husband Jack, Adam Johnson; great-grandchildren, Alex Wagoner, Folger Wagoner, Mason Wagoner, Grant Wagoner, Max Wagoner; and special friend, Wanda Anderson.

A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
