Miss Hunter Nicole Casstevens, age 25, of Jonesville passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 27, 2022. Hunter was born August 15, 1996 in Surry County to Dean Casstevens and Mary Ann Crouse Casstevens.
Hunter was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She loved people and brought joy to so many. When Hunter walked in a room her vivacious personality and laughter were infectious and she lit up the room with her smile. She enjoyed music, dancing, and trying to make life fun for everyone. Hunter was a graduate of East Wilkes High School and employed with Lowes.
Hunter was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Pat Miracle; maternal grandfather, Jack Crouse; and paternal grandmother, Connie Casstevens.
Survivors include: her parents, Dean and Mary Ann Casstevens; sister, Augusta Hill; niece, Jacee Smith; nephew, Jett Smith; paternal grandfather, Aubrey Casstevens; step grandparent, Patricia Woodruff; aunts, Amanda Wagoner and her husband Rodney, Dianna Tullock and her husband Dave; uncle, Monty Crouse and his wife Nancy; cousins, Meghan Snow and her husband Justin, Lindsey Hayes and her husband Terry, Ceth Crouse, Cooper Crouse, Tyler Wagoner, Karsyn Tullock, Reagan Tullock, Hannah Hanks; and several other loving family members and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Brett Graham officiating. Burial will follow in Beulahland Non-Denominational Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
