Mr. Jamie Kenneth Couch, age 57, of Elkin passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. Jamie was born July 24, 1964 in Surry County to Kenneth and Linda Messick Couch.
Jamie was a member of Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church and retired from the NCDOT IMAP Division. He was an avid outdoorsman and a loving husband, father, papi, son, and brother.
Survivors include: his loving wife of 39 years, Gina S. Couch of the home; daughter, Valarie Dillard and husband Matthew of High Point; son, Chase Couch and wife Susan of Elkin; parents, Kenneth and Linda Couch; brother, Jason Couch of Elkin; sisters, Sandra Rhoades and husband Roger of Elkin; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carolyn and Jerry Simmons of Thurmond; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Gilliam and husband Dean of East Bend; grandchildren, Malachi Dillard, Selah Dillard, Asher Dillard, Titus Dillard, Easton Couch, Remington Couch, Oliver Couch; and niece, Ashley Rhoades.
A funeral service will be conducted, Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Greg Runner and Rev. Jerry Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital; Forsyth Medical Center; and the many friends and family for their support and care.
