Janice Santiago

Janice Simmons Santiago, age 67, of Elkin passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at Yadkin Valley Senior Living in Elkin.

Janice was born September 30, 1957 in Surry County to J.T. and Lorene Golden Simmons.

Janice loved to paint and to garden and canning her crops. She also loved her family very much.

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Moises Diaz Santiago.

Survivors include her son, Robert “Jay” Walsh and wife Faith of Hamptonville; daughter, Missy Dobson and husband Mark of Jonesville; grandchildren, Destiny & George White, Olivia & Isiah Huffin, Ashley Walsh, Melea Dobson and several loving Santiago family members.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Second Chance Church Cemetery with Rev. Alvin Hayes officiating.
