Jerry Dewey Ingool, Sr.

Jerry Dewey Ingool, Sr. age 75 of Traphill, unexpectedly passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. He passed peacefully in the arms of his son.  Mr. Ingool was born October 28, 1948 in Wilkes County to Fonce Claude and Alona Casey Ingool.

Jerry was a man of all traits.  There was nothing he could not fix.  When it came to carpentry, automotive and business he was a perfectionist.  When it came to having precise measurements he had the eye for it.  Jerry’s hobbies were taking care of his birds, fishing, listening to blue grass music and working on his tractor.  He was a man that would always give a helping hand.  There wasn’t a tool he would not have on hand to get the job done.  Jerry was a man of faith.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Ingool; brothers, Vernis Ingool, Garnis Ingool, Cecil Ingool, Devon Ingool, Colonel Ingood and sisters, Doris Hege and Vera Bell Ingool.

Survivors include, a son, Jerry Ingool, Jr and wife Heather;  brothers, Larry Ingool, Willie Ingool; sisters, Linda Ingool, Brenda Ingool Walrath and Georgia Disher; along with  several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Tracy Nichols and Pastor Travis Brown officiating.  Burial will follow in Austin Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service.
