Jerry Wayne Mitchell

Jerry Wayne Mitchell, age 55, of Ronda passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  Mr. Mitchell was born June 13, 1966 in Forsyth County to Rayford Gray and Marie Solomon Mitchell. Jerry was preceded in death by his father Rayford Gray Mitchell and step-father David Holbrook.

Jerry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving during the first Gulf War.  He was a retired trooper of the Louisiana State Police.

Survivors include: his mother Marie Solomon Holbrook, of Ronda; daughters, Erin Mitchell and Allyson Mitchell of Denham Springs, LA, a brother, Marty Mitchell of Lewisville; and a sister, Robin Renee Miller and her husband Richard of Las Vegas, Nevada.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Elkin Funeral Service Chapel, with Pastor Steve Robertson and Dr. Jeremy Simpson officiating.
