Jerry Kent Rabenau

Mr. Jerry Kent Rabenau, age 80, of Elkin passed away Sunday, May 22, 2022 at his home. Mr. Rabenau was born August 31, 1941 in Eugene, OR to Harry Samuel Rabenau and Geneva Leota Myers Rabenau.

Mr. Rabenau was a retired United States Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and George Gray American Legion Post. Mr. Rabenau enjoyed mining for gold in California.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Susan Rabenau; granddaughters, Stephani Staler and Jenna Lauria; brothers, Roger Rabenau and Larry Norman.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 58 years, Ruth E. Rabenau of the home; daughters, Theresa Ann Lauria and her husband Al of Lake Elsinore, CA and Andrea Rabenau of Boonville; grandchildren, Elyssa, Jeffrey, Gregory, Ashley, and Grant; grandson-in-law, Andy Staler; and 13 great-grandchildren.

No services are scheduled at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, C/O Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
