Tracy Jewel Caudle Allen

Mrs. Tracy Jewel Caudle Allen, age 86, of Hamptonville passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at her home. Mrs. Allen was born August 1, 1935 in Guilford County to Nelson Hall Caudle and Tracy Jane Grose Caudle.

Mrs. Allen was a member of Union Baptist Church in Hamptonville where she served as a Sunday school teacher and Bible group leader. She graduated from Appalachian State Teacher’s College and retired from Ronda Clingman Elementary School. Mrs. Allen was known as a community counselor. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was known by her family to be an excellent cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Jesse Allen; son-in-law, Ron Jeffries; grandson, Jason Jeffries; brothers, Jesse Caudle and Phares Caudle; sisters, Bonnie Willis and Violet Caudle.

Survivors include: her loving husband, Harold Frederick Allen, Sr. of the home; son, Harold Frederick Allen, Jr. and his wife Charlotte-Anne of Ronda; daughters, Patti Jeffries of Hamptonville, Shelley Somers and her husband Danny of North Wilkesboro, and Sherrie Hiatt and her husband Hal of Fort Fisher, NC; sister, Faye Byrd and her husband Ken of Roaring River; sisters-in-law, Mary Belle Caudle of Statesville and Carrie Jean Caudle of Stony Point; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Pardue, Rev. Phillip Wishon and Rev. Hal Hiatt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
