Jimmy Joines

Mr. James Michael “Jimmy” Joines, age 61, of Elkin passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Jimmy was born November 15, 1959 in Wilkes County to Hardin Bruce and Vivian Sechrist Joines.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Joines and sister, Diane Ray.

Survivors include: son, Christopher Roberts of Hillsborough; daughter, Tasha Hartness of Georgia; brother, Thomas Joines of Hillsborough; sisters, Carla Moore of Hillsborough; Carolyn Durham of Efland; special nephew, Billy Joines of Louisburg; special niece, Becky Chamblee of Louisburg; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Crater Park, 310 Standard St., Elkin, NC 28621. The family requests that those in attendance bring cut flowers to toss in the river as we memorialize Jimmy.

The family would like to thank Debbie Ford and Stephanie Stanley of Mountain Valley Hospice for taking such good care of Jimmy over the last year. A special thank you to all of Jimmy's Elkin family, who loved him like a brother.
