Mrs. Joan Ellen Hoyt, age 66, returned to her Heavenly Father’s arms on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center surrounded by her family she loved so much. She was born June 15, 1954 in Lebanon, New Hampshire to Raymond and Wilma Jones Stender.
Joan’s family meant everything to her. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. She was the glue that kept them together. Joan was as giving in death as she was in life. Today someone else is able to see the beautiful colors and scenery around them through the gift of her cornea donation.
She will be forever missed but her family takes comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and is at peace.
Joan was the cherished wife of Randall Hoyt, Sr. and they would have celebrated 50 years together in August.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant daughter; father and mother-in-law, Howard and Ruthanne Hoyt; siblings, Bonnie and Ernest and beloved dog, Babe.
Survivors include: her loving husband, Randall Hoyt, Sr. of the home; children, Tonirae Hoyt Christofferson and her husband Chet, Randall Hoyt II and his wife Maria, Rawlin Hoyt and his wife Ashley; grandchildren, A.J. Brown, Sydney Hoyt, Hattie Hoyt, Tana Smith and Hank Porter; siblings, RaeMarie, Diane, Janet, Gregory and Carol; and pets, Digger, Lily and Marvin.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Vermont.
The family requests that memorials may be made to an Animal Rescue of choice or to Public Television.
The family would like to thank the staff of Forsyth Medical Center Neuro ICU for their care.
