Joan Elizabeth Sass

Mrs. Joan Elizabeth Sass, age 71, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2022 at her home.  She was born June 20, 1950 in Glens Falls, NY to Sarah Mason Dickinson and Leander Dickinson.

Mrs. Sass was of the Quaker faith and retired from the Jonesville Police Department where she was loved and respected.  She was an avid animal lover and was known to be caring and open and accepting of everyone.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Robert Joseph Sass.

Survivors include: her daughters, Christine Lee Sass and her partner Jerry Norris of Elkin and Georgina Anne Sass of Ontario, Canada; son, Daniel Dimitry Sass of Ontario, Canada; sister, Anne Dickinson (John Hart) of  Glens Falls, NY; brother, Tom Dickinson (Linda) of Roswell, NM and best friend, Trish Harris of Elkin.

The family will conduct a private graveside service in Lake George, NY at a later date.
