Joseph Mendolia

Mr. Joseph Mendolia, 73, of Elkin, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Joseph, a man of true dedication and love for his craft, was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Joseph Mendolia Sr. and Elizabeth Muclia Mendolia. He journeyed the world, leaving his mark as a skilled carpenter and woodworking enthusiast.

He embarked on a journey across the USA in search of his 'Happy Place,' and it was in Elkin that his heart truly found solace. He immersed himself in the joy of camping and hiking the Elkin Trails, with a special fondness for Stone Mountain, a testament to his deep-rooted love for this community.
A memorial service will be held at Stone Mountain at a later day.
