Judy Harper Farist

Jewel “Judy" Harper Farist, age 81, of Elkin, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, at her residence.

Judy was born January 10, 1943, in Gilmer County, Georgia, to Floyd Harper and Hazel Marie Johnson Harper.

She retired from Lockheed Martin Aerospace Company after 32 years of service. In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vinson Wilmer Farist.

Survivors include: son Mark Farist and wife Janet of State Road and daughter Deborah McKinney and husband Kevin of Tucson, Arizona; grandchildren: Rob Bagley, of Saint Petersburg, Florida; Catherine Farist of Ashville; Jack Farist, of Charleston, SC; Phillip Farist and wife Danielle of Troutman; Patrick Farist of Manassas, Virginia; brother Jack Harper and wife Gerri of Ellijay, Georgia.

A memorial service will be conducted Friday, April 19, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel.
