Julian Edward Greene

Mr. Julian Edward “G” Greene, age 60, of Lenoir passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Julian was born January 11, 1960 in Caldwell County to Paul Edward and Vera Mae Adams Greene.

Julian was known to many of his friends as G and to his grandchildren he was their G-Paw. One of his passions was cooking and he spent his last working years operating Foscoe County Corner with his daughter, Nicole. They provided home cooked food and catering service to the area.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John David Greene; sister, Jeanette Brookshire; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Basil and Margaret Tester.

Survivors include: his wife, Teresa Greene of the home; son, Jacob Greene and wife Angie of Lenoir; daughter, Nicole Roten and husband Geoff of Banner Elk; brothers, Danny Greene of High Point, Keith Greene and wife Lee of Elkin; sisters, Winifred Setzer and husband Shober of Hudson, Nancy Taylor and husband Sonny of Hudson; grandchildren, Aden Greene, Jada Shoemake, Bralee Shoemake, Eli Roten; sisters-in-law, Lisa Cox of Lenoir, Sunsil Greene of Hickory; and special family, Becca and Payton Haley of Boone.

A celebration of life will be conducted Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Baptist Church, 325 Shasta Ln SW, Lenoir, NC 28645, with Rev. Darren Smart and Rev. Jim Hamby officiating. The Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Rd. SW, Liburn, GA 30047.
