Julius Eugene Parks, Jr.

Mr. Julius Eugene Parks, Jr., age 81, passed away with his daughter by his side Sunday, March 12, 2023.

Mr. Parks was born February 7, 1942 in Iredell County to Julius “Eugene” Parks and Ruby Pruitt Parks. He was a member of Roaring River United Methodist Church. He retired from LP in Roaring River. Roaring River was always his home and where he spent most of his life, except for the time he spent in Miami where he met his wife Ginger and his daughter Donna was born.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Parks was preceded in death by wife, Virginia “Ginger” Frances Parks; step-children, Maureen Bumgarner and Ramona Miskevich; sisters, Julia Norman and Barbara Sparks.

Survivors include: daughter, Donna Parks Hill and her husband Josh of Wilkesboro; step-son, Ronnie Fiermonte and his wife Marcie Perry of Cooper City, Florida; step-daughter, Deborah Fiermonte; brothers-in-laws, Jack Sparks and Roger Norman; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Parks was an amazing man, father, husband, and friend. He had a heart of gold for people and animals. He was truly a man of God and a steward to this earth. He was loved by many and will be truly missed.

A memorial service will conducted Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Matt Nichols officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
