Kathleen Foster Miller

Mrs. Kathleen Foster Miller, age 92, of State Road passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Miller was born August 21, 1928 in Wilkes County to Dewey and Stacy Williams Foster.

Mrs. Miller was a member of Jonesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She lovingly raised her six children and helped her husband pastor churches across North Carolina for 35 years. She loved gospel music and enjoyed listening to her children and grandchildren sing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Gerald Miller; brothers, J.R. Foster, Fair Foster, Rev. Roy Foster; sisters, Sarah F. Whitlock and Ruby F. Norman.

Survivors include: her children, Diane Johnson and husband Wayne of Statesville, Geraldine Stoker and husband Gayle of State Road, David G. Miller and wife Jeannine of Elkin, Naomi Dudley and husband Darryl of Jonesville, Joey Miller of the home, Lisa Kline and husband Dennis of Hamptonville; sisters, Vertie Presley, Betty Brown, Anne Elledge; sister-in-law, Patricia Roseman; ten grandchildren, Wendy Durham and husband Eric, Jared Stoker and wife Jessica, Angie Rogers and husband Caleb, Jennifer Fink and husband Zac, Jeremy Stoker and wife Brittany, Matt Miller, Kristy Simmons and husband Brad, Joseph Miller and wife Felicia, Audra Sexton and husband Brandon, Garrett D. Kline; and 25 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Gayle Stoker officiating.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
