Kenneth Lee East

Mr. Kenneth Lee East, age 67, of Boonville passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at his home. Mr. East was born January 29, 1954 in Tazewell, VA to Elmer and Earlene Harris East.

Mr. East was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and worked for Yadkin County Schools.

Mr. East was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include: his wife Mahalia Everidge East of the home; sons, Adam East and wife Jessica of Winston-Salem, Jared East and wife Melissa of Boonville; daughter, Anna East and fiancé Cory Byrd of North Wilkesboro; mother, Earlene East of Jonesville; brother, Wayne East and wife Brenda of Hamptonville; sisters, Linda Tetrick and husband Tim of Dobson, Shirley Freeman and husband Tommy of Jonesville, Susan Walters of Boonville; grandchildren, Keshawn Caudill, Karisma East, Carter East, Landry East, Ty East, and Abram East.

A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeremiah Beasley officiating. Mr. East will lie-in-state from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service prior to the service.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 688 N. Bridge St, Elkin, NC 28621.
