Mr. Warren Kimble “Kim” White, age 68, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023 at his residence in Roaring River. Mr. White was born July 13, 1954 to Warren Ray White and Betty Jo Cook White.
Kim was a member of Temple Hill United Methodist Church. He enjoyed bluegrass music, playing his guitar, fishing, and golfing. In Kim’s younger days, he loved riding on the wagon train; his horses knew his voice and would come running from the bottom of his pastures. He was an avid Carolina Basketball fan. Kim was the first paramedic in Wilkes County and taught the first paramedic classes in the county.
In addition to his parents, Kim was preceded in death by a brother, Joey White.
Survivors include: wife, Shirley White of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Amy White of Tobaccoville; daughter, Christie White (Chris) of Ronda; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jo & Larry Phipps of Roaring River; grandson, Easton Townsend.
A memorial service will be conducted Friday, February 17, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. at Temple Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Nichols and Rev. Greg Richards officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Betty Jo White Outreach, P. O. Box 241, Ronda, NC 28670.
