Lena Whitlock Bentley

Lena Louise Whitlock Bentley, age 86, of Cherokee, Oklahoma passed away Friday, June 14, 2024 at her home.

Lena was born May 27, 1938 in Ashland, Kentucky to William and Chloe Dillon Whitlock, one of twelve children.

In addition to her parents Lena was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Dempsey Bentley; five brothers, Sam Whitlock, John Whitlock, Billy Whitlock, Lewis Whitlock, Jim Whitlock; three sisters, Edna Dickens, Virginia Gullet and Ruth Haney.

Survivors include her son, Ralph Wayne Bentley of Oklahoma; daughter, Brenda Lee Bentley of West Virginia; brothers, Dewey Whitlock, Charles Whitlock, Bob Whitlock and his wife Linda all of Oklahoma; grandsons, Allen Bentley and wife Shannon of Oklahoma, and DeWayne McSorley and wife Sara of Jonesville;  her precious dog, M.J. and several loving relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, June 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Island Ford Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Charlie Kennedy officiating.
