Lesley W. Carrico, Jr

Mr. Lesley Woodrow Carrico, Jr., age 68, of State Road passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mr. Carrico was born April 16, 1953 in Surry County to Lesley Woodrow Carrico, Sr. and Sadie Hodge Carrico.

Mr. Carrico was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired from Pruitt Health in Elkin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Carrico.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Lisa Hash Carrico of the home; daughter, Amy Bunker and her husband Chase of Arkansas; sons, John Paul Caudill of State Road, Melvin Gilliam of Yadkinville and Dylan Jessup; sisters, Savanna Hawks of Newton, Lavania Gilliam and her husband Gwyn of Jonesville; grandchildren, Abagail Blevins, Madison Blevins, Kennedi Bunker, Emmalyn Bunker, Courtney Henley and her husband Jake, Nathan Gilliam; special niece, GiGi Willie and husband Ralph; and several other special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jake Henley and Mr. John Paul Caudill officiating. A private graveside service with full military honors will be conducted at the Carrico Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
