Lester Bauguess

Lester Bauguess, age 86, of Ronda, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Lester was born on June 18, 1938, in Wilkes County to Theodore R. Bauguess and Dossie Jane Casey Bauguess. He was a member of the Cattleman’s Association in Wilkes County. Lester loved farming and his farm animals. He also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and the cattle business.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Parks Bauguess; second wife, Gail Burchette Bauguess; brother, Leon Bauguess; and uncle, Claude Casey.

Survivors include his sons, Lester Keith Bauguess and spouse Darren Gray, Scott Bauguess and wife Rachel Rosell; daughter, Sandra Green and husband Tim; four brothers, Ted Bauguess Jr. and wife Joann, Steven Bauguess, Tommy Bauguess, Tony Bauguess and wife Joyce; two sisters, Edna Brown, Barbara Ann Norman and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Jonathan Draughn and wife Mayra, Rachel Draughn and husband Thomas Leonard, Leah Draughn and fiancée Quinten Hatcher; great-grandchildren, Kendall Draughn, Jack Draughn; several nieces and nephews; numerous loving friends.

A receiving of friends will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Elkin Funeral Service. A  private graveside service will follow in Bauguess Family Cemetery, with Rev. Bobby Norman officiating.
