Lester Billings

Mr. William Lester Billings, age 84, of Traphill passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at his home. Mr. Billings was born August 20, 1937 in Wilkes County to William McCoy Billings and Foye Estelle Bray Billings.

Mr. Billings was a member of Billings Hill Baptist Church and a lifelong automotive dealer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, William Paul Billings, Sr.; daughter, Elizabeth Estelle Billings; brothers, Ernest Billings and RV Billings.

Survivors include: his loving wife of 59 years, Alice Brown “Dolly” Billings of the home; sons, Bobby Lee Billings and wife Pamela of Traphill; Wayne Billings and his wife Courtney of Raleigh; daughter, Phyllis Myers and her husband Jimmy of Traphill; grandchildren, William Paul Billings, Jr., Matthew Billings, Jacob Billings, Abigail Billings, Steven Myers, Amber Myers, Brody Billings, Hannah Billings, Payton Billings, Taylor Billings, and Avery Billings.

A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, July 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Billings Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Bauguess, Rev. Danny Royal, and Rev. Travis Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
