Lillie Blackburn Adams

Mrs. Lillie Blackburn Adams, age 73, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at her home following an extended illness.  Mrs. Adams was born February 14, 1947 in Wilkes County to Columbus Edmond Blackburn and Carrie Lille Smith Blackburn.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: her husband, Bill Adams of the home; sons, Randall Blackburn and his wife Linda of Madison and Billy Adams and his wife Donna of Elkin; daughters, Loretta Poindexter of State Road and Amanda Adams of Elkin; sister, Lyvonne Woodring of Elkin; 4 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and 2 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Adams will lie-in-state at Elkin Funeral Service on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Adams Family Cemetery in Elkin.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for their care.
