Linda Parks

Mrs. Linda Ruth Choate Parks, age 77, of Elkin passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021 at her home. Mrs. Parks was born October 8, 1944 in Surry County to Paul and Nellie Ayers Choate.

Mrs. Parks was a quiet woman who loved her husband and children very much. In her younger years, she loved gardening and had the most beautiful roses, red roses were her favorite. She loved to travel the United States and see new places.

Mrs. Parks was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: her loving husband of 57 years, Donald Parks of the home; son, Robert Parks and girlfriend Christa of Elkin; daughter, Donna Evans and significant other Tim Combs of Glade Valley; brother, Dean Choate of Glade Valley; grandchildren, Johnny Evans and wife Whitney, Joshua Evans and wife Kendra, Jennifer Evans; great-grandchildren, Nora Evans, Oliver Evans, and Grant Evans.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Snow officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:15 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
