Lorene Hemric Settle

Mrs. Lorene Hemric Settle passed away peacefully on December 18, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Wilkesboro. She was born on June 28, 1931 to Henry J. and Ethel C.Hemric. She married Ted W. Settle in 1954. They had one son, Dean who survives. Ted passed away in 1981.

She is survived by a sister, Vonda Blackburn; brother, Gilbert Hemric (Caroline); and sister-in-law, Kathy Hemric. Also surviving are a brother-in-law David Settle (Kathy); sisters-in-law, Ramona Jordan, Jean Settle, Dot Settle and Judy Settle; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend June Hayes.

A celebration of life service will be held on December 21, 2019 at Benham Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Gary Byrd and Julius Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation begins at 1:00 p.m.
