Mae Adams Castevens

Mrs. Mae Adams Castevens, age 76, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.

Mae was born December 2, 1946 in Yadkin County to Allen Elwood Adams and Lelia Mae York Adams. She was a long-time member of White Plain Baptist Church and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Castevens; sister, Louella Davis; brother, Berley Adams and son-in-law, Alvin Byrd.

Survivors include: sons, Bobby Dale Castevens and wife Vickie of Linwood, Christopher Allen Castevens and wife Tammy of Boonville, Jeffery Anthony Castevens of the home; daughter, Kathy Byrd of Roaring River; sister, Jonna Blevins of Hamptonville; and nine grandchildren.

A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at White Plains Baptist Church in Mount Airy, Rev. Dale Hawks and Rev. David Tucker officiating.
