Magdalene Combs Hatfield

Mrs. Magdalene Combs Hatfield, age 93, of Elkin passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Pruitt Health. Mrs. Hatfield was born May 12, 1925 in Iredell County to Cisero and Gency Sprinkle Combs.

Mrs. Hatfield was a member of Calvary Full Gospel Church and retired from Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Hatfield was preceded in death by her parents and was the last survivor of 7 siblings.

Survivors include: daughters, Marlene Guyer of State Road and Molly Carter and husband Rex of Elkin; sister-in-law, Ila Mae Combs; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Marvin McCall and Rev. Gene Casstevens officiating. Burial will follow in Ronda Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
