Margaret Shepherd Caudill

Mrs. Margaret Shepherd Caudill, age 84, of State Road passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at Parkwood Place. Mrs. Caudill was born March 22, 1936 in Surry County to James Boyd Shepherd and Elizabeth Powell Hudson.

Mrs. Caudill was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and retired from Sprint.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Winfrey Caudill; brothers, Bobby Shepherd, James Boyd “J.B.” Shepherd, Jr; and sister, Bonnie Blackburn.

Survivors include: sons, Craig S. Caudill of Thurmond, Kevin S. Caudill of San Francisco; brother, Jimmy Shepherd of Parsonsburg, MD; grandsons, Steven Caudill of State Road and Adam Caudill of Charlotte.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, June 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Dan Merritt and Rev. Jason Lawson officiating. Mrs. Caudill will lie-in-state Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
