Margaret Gentry

Mrs. Margaret L. Gentry, age 82, of Elkin passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Gentry was born November 24, 1936 in Bridgeton, New Jersey to Milton and Edna Smick Murray.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Iredell Levi Gentry.

Survivors include: sons, Roy Lee Gentry and wife Frances of New Jersey, Ronald Lee Gentry of Elkin; daughter, Lily Mae Thorn and husband Charles of New Jersey; grandchildren, Evelynn Shank, David Shank, Clifton Gentry, Edward Gentry; great  grandchildren, Angelique Santos, Ava Gentry, Emme Gentry; special nieces and nephews, Becky Royal of State Road, Darin Royal, Lorie Royal, and Brian Royal.

A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Danny Royal officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
