Margaret Laster Jones

Ms. Margaret Laster Jones, age 78, of Elkin passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.

Margaret was born August 4, 1945 in Davie County to Roby and Minnie Laster.

Margaret worked at the Elkin Walmart for several years; she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: her son, Roby Jones of Thurmond; brother Howard Laster and his wife Frances of State Road; grandchildren, Jasmine Jones, Roby Jones II, and Kaylee Jones.

A graveside service will be conducted Friday, October 27, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. at Crestwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Danny Royal officiating.

The Jones family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
