Margaret Prevette

Margaret Prevette, 82, of Christian County, KY died at 8:09 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Tristar Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. Harry Todd and Rev. Benjamin Prevette officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of Yadkin County, NC, she was born August 11, 1941 the daughter of the late Rufus and Pauline Shore. She was a graduate of the Elkin Business School. She worked as an accounting assistant for Hopkinsville Bookkeeping and later drove a school bus for Sinking Fork Elementary School for 17 years. She was a member of Herndon Methodist Church where she served as church pianist and treasurer. She was a member of the old Bluegrass Homemakers Club in Gracey, KY. She also worked as an election officer for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lowell “Toby” Shore.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years: Ralph Prevette; her sons: Eddie (Deborah) Prevette of Herndon, KY and Dan (Sharon) Prevette of Lexington, KY; her sister: Norene (Ronnie) Vanhoy of Hamptonville, NC; her grandchildren: Benjamin (Gabrielle) Prevette and Annika Prevette; and her great grandchildren: Abigale Prevette and Cooper Prevette.
