Mary Lee Brewer

Mrs. Mary Lee Martin Brewer, age 91, of Elkin passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at Pruitt Health in Elkin. Mrs. Brewer was born January 25, 1930 in Surry County, to Dillard Thomas and Thelma Harris Martin.

Mary retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Arbor Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, William “Billy” Brewer; sons-in-law, Daryl Burcham, and James Swaim and a nephew, Daniel Martin.

Survivors include: son, Larry Brewer and wife Christine of Hays; daughters, Linda Swaim of State Road, and Pat Burcham of Jonesville; brothers, Edsel Martin and wife Susan, and Earl Martin and wife Faye all of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Rebecca Bryant, Jayme Shatley, Chris Brewer, Greg Brewer, Shane Burcham, and Travis Burcham; great-granchildren , Alex Lyons, Kayla Bryant, Jacob Brewer, Faith Brewer, Emily Brewer, Carys Brewer, Canaan Brewer, Trevor Burcham, Owen Burcham, Caid Burcham, and Kove Burcham.

Mrs. Brewer will lie-in-state Sunday, March 28, 2021 from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. A private graveside service will be held with Rev. Kyle Chapman officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Arbor Grove Baptist Church 196 Arbor Grove Church Road, North Wilkesboro N.C. 28659
