Mary Louise Robinson

Mrs. Mary Louise Robinson, age 71, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 at Hillcrest Raleigh at Crabtree Valley in Raleigh, NC. Mrs. Robinson was born February 24, 1952 to James and Mary Elizabeth Burkett Fleming.

Mrs. Robinson had two special loves: books and music. She spent much of her time reading and had worked in Yadkin County Library where she enjoyed helping people explore the wonders of reading and discovering where a good book could take the reader. She also served as the Music Director at Arlington First Baptist Church for many years where she was able to share her love for music and Scripture with the members of the church and community. In her later years, she found her final church family as a member of Galloway Memorial Episcopal Church in Elkin.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by husband Jerry L. Robinson.

Survivors include: son, Harry Goble and his wife Christine of Raleigh; daughter, Mary Anna Alexander of Fuquay-Varina; brother, Kenneth Fleming of Boonville; sister, Patsy Brown and her husband J.E. of Yadkinville; and grandchildren, Bryce Goble, Alexa Goble, and Declan Alexander.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 3, 3023, at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel, with Rev. Sarah Carper Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery in Boonville.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
