Mary Ruth Crouse Southard

Mary Ruth Crouse Southard, age 90, passed away Wednesday December 6, 2023 in Columbia, SC.  Mrs. Southard was born March 21, 1933 in Surry County to James Garfield and Mandy Frances Crouse.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Southard, a daughter, Brenda S. Whitaker, a nephew, Braxton Crouse and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Survivors include, a daughter Marie S. Lipton and husband Marcus, a sister, Clyde Moxley, four grandchildren, Amanda R. Hamilton and husband Bill, Hannah W. McCann and husband Kevin, Jesse M. Whitaker and wife Katie, Benjamin M. Lipton and wife Kelsey, Gracie and Seth Whitaker, ten great grandchildren, Oliver Bremer, Eliza Hamilton, Nora McCann, Eleanor Whitaker, Mia McCann, Russell Whitaker, Hudson Lipton, Audrey Whitaker, Aubee Kate Lipton, Nolla Gary Lipton.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at Mountain Park Cemetery.
