Mrs. Frances Willey, age 80 of Elkin passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.
Frances was born June 18, 1943, to M.L. and Mozelle Ledbetter Myers. She was a member of Billings Hill Baptist Church. Frances loved painting, gardening, cooking, and working on her flowers. She especially loved her family, her grandbabies, and her dog, Thor.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Willey; sister, Barbara Wagoner, and her husband Gary; special aunt, Carol Ledbetter; sisters-in-law, Helen Myers and Carolyn Myers.
Survivors include: her son, Jeff Simmons, and wife Jeannie of Springhill, KS; daughters, Karen Simpson and husband, Mike of Elkin, Linda Cockerham and husband Jay of State Road; brothers, John Myers of Elkin, David Myers of Elkin, Tommy Myers and wife Linda of State Road; grandchildren, Kayla Knight and husband Josh, Dwayne Burchette, and wife Courtney, Seth Simpson and wife Emily, Michael Simmons, Jonathan Simmons, Christopher Simmons and Matthew Simmons, and several great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, and several loving nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life will be conducted Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
