Maye Burchette

Mrs. Maye Oliver Burchette, age 82, of Ronda passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Burchette was born August 18, 1936 in Yadkin County to Levi M. and Pansy Hall Oliver.

Mrs. Burchette was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and retired from the family business, Associated Heating and Air Conditioning. She was a board member of NC Baptist State Convention and a member of Women’s Missionary Union where she held several leadership positions.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Augustus “C.A.” Burchette, Jr.; son, Timothy Clyde Burchette; and sister, Louise Parker.

Survivors include: son, David Burchette and wife Janice of Ronda; sisters, Gaye Shore of Hamptonville; Patricia Fortner and husband Bobby of Hamptonville; granddaughters, Lauren Burchette Moore and husband Brad of Roaring River; Abby Burchette King and husband James of Roaring River; great- granddaughters, Autumn Moore and Natalie Moore.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, March 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Smith and Rev. James King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
