Melissa "Misci" Diane Johnson

Melissa Diane Johnson (Misci) walked into the Heavenly arms of her Savior on Sunday, June 25, 2023. She was born May 1, 1964 to Ray William and Marie Jolly Johnson.  The youngest of three, she was always known as the Princess.  She started the “Daddy Ray Foundation” as a way to carry on her Daddy’s spiritual legacy of helping others in need. Like her Daddy, her heart was as big as the moon.  Misci worked as Office Administrator for many different pipeline inspection companies, which took her traveling all over the United States.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her brother, William Randle (Randy) Johnson, her Grandparents, Grover and Jencie Johnson, and Paul and Beulah Jolly.

Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Loretta Ray and Oliver Streich; her nephew and niece, William Drew and Julie Johnson; her Great Niece, Hannah Rebecca Johnson and former sister-in-law Cathy York. Also, many cousins which she loved dearly.  Her biggest love was for her two little fur babies, Bogy and Percy, and they are missing her greatly.  We wish to give special thanks to Patricia Collins for taking care of Misci’s fur babies and to the nurses and cleaning staff of the fifth floor of Forsyth Medical Center and of the fifth floor ICU. I wish Misci could have seen all the prayers and good thoughts sent to her through Facebook, so we want to send special thanks to all that prayed for her during her illness.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.
