Micheal Todd Bush

Mr. Micheal Todd Bush, age 59, of Thurmond, passed away at his residence on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Micheal was born in Quincy, Illinois, on August 4, 1965, to Ned and Sarah Lewis Bush. 

Micheal enjoyed tinkering and fixing things. He was a jack of all trades, working on cars, but most of all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Bush, uncles, Tim Lewis, Bob Lewis, and aunt Jane Bumgarner.

Survivors include daughters Davia Sweat and husband Anthony of Roaring River and Priscilla Mayes and husband Mark of Elkin; brothers; Mark Bush and wife Jamie of Lenoir, Randall Lewis and wife Betty of West Jefferson, sister Debbie Keysley of Lenoir; former wife Priscilla Bhati and husband Ravi of Thurmond; grandchildren Destiny Mayes and husband Tyler, Alexus Swaim, Mark Mayes, Ethan Swaim, Sage Norman, Katie Sweat; great-grandson Hayden Hudson; aunt, Linda Lewis; serval nieces and nephews, and special K-9 companion Angel, special friend Ken Harris. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Terry Longworth officiating. Interment will follow the service at Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery.
