Mildred Polly Anderson

Mrs. Mildred “Polly” Anderson, age 84, of Hamptonville passed away Thursday, September 30, 2022 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Anderson was born February 1, 1938 in Surry County to Will Anderson and Ruby Whitaker Anderson.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of East Elkin Full Gospel in Elkin and retired from Chatham Manufacturing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son; Michael Shores; brothers, Jack Anderson, Bill Anderson, Jimmy Anderson, Rass Anderson; and sister, Willie Mae Benge.

Survivors include: daughter, Linda Pardue of Hamptonville; grandchildren, Ryan Pardue of Elkin, Dustin Pardue of Las Vegas; special friend, Kay Hobson; and several loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jerry Childress, Rev. Richard Odom, and Rev. Bobby Prevette officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
